Asveja Regional Park

Asveja Lake

The Regional Park Asveja is a regional park in the east of Lithuania and covers the Rajongemeinden Molėtai , Švenčionys and Vilnius . The park is to protect the Ice Age landscape with around 30 lakes, several villages, the castle mentioned above and a historic schoolhouse around the town of Dubingiai on an area of ​​11,589 hectares. The right Neris tributary Žeimena flows south of the nature reserve in a south-westerly direction, via which the Neris can be reached by canoe or kayak . Lake Asveja is the heart of the regional park . The park was established in September 1992.
