Repetition

The repetition or repetition ( Latin repetition ) describes a rhetorical figure of repetition. Individual parts of the sentence are repeated, reinforcing the message and increasing the urgency.

Examples:

  • “O mother! What is bliss? O mother! What is hell? "( Gottfried August Bürger , Lenore )
  • "Oh dear! Oh dear !!! "
  • "Fire! It's burning. Fire!"
