from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reception modalities are an inconsistently used concept in media psychology . The term usually describes the classification of different ways in which a recipient perceives and processes media content.

The distinction between reception modalities is used in media usage research to describe and explain the effects of media and user behavior.
