Ringfort of Rathra

The ring fort of Rathra (also called Ratra, Rathrar or "Rathbarna Enclosure Complex") ( Irish Ráth an tSratha ) is located about southeast of Castlerea in County Roscommon in Ireland .

The fourfold ramparts around a hill are divided somewhat off-center by a younger field boundary. The wall and ditch area of the Rath, about 145 m in diameter, encloses an enclosure with four passages in which two small burial mounds, probably from the Bronze Age, are located.

Joe Fenwick sees parallels in the complex with the Hill of Ward in County Meath, which is also four-walled .
