The Rio Branco Atlético Clube , also known as RBAC for short , is a Brazilian football club from Vitória in the state of Espírito Santo .
history
The club was founded in 1913 under the name Juventude e Vigor , renamed Rio Branco Football Club in 1914 and finally renamed its current name in 1941. The club has long dominated the state of Espírito Santo and is also its record holder with 37 championship titles. His dominance ended in the 1980s, so that he could only celebrate a championship title again in 2010 after a twenty-five-year dry spell. In the meantime, the club had even slipped into the second national league.
In the national championship of Brazil , the RBAC was last represented in the top class of the Série A in 1987. By 2010 his relegation from all divisions took place. It was not until 2015 that he managed to re-enter the championship in the lowest class of the Série D, which is still represented today.
