The Rola Bola (more rarely: Rola-Rola ), whose origins go back to the Middle Ages, is a balancing device . It consists of a board and a cylindrical tube. Rola Bolas are used in the circus , but also in the fitness area to train balance and strength.

Usually the user stands on the board which is balanced on the pipe. His feet are positioned on the ends of the board. The body must be balanced so that the edges of the board are prevented from touching the floor.

For circus performances, several cylinders and boards are also stacked on top of one another in order to increase the demand and the entertainment value. For circus performances, the rola bola is occasionally combined with juggling , such as ball or club juggling , the diabolo , or devil sticks .
