Rudolf Heiler (born April 9, 1955 in Munich ) is a Bavarian local politician. He was a member of the CSU from 1973 to 2008 . Then he switched to the free voters . From 1996 to 2014 he was the first mayor of the Upper Bavarian city of Grafing near Munich and since 2002 chairman of the Upper Bavarian municipal council. Heiler has been a member of the Bavarian Broadcasting Council as a representative of the Bavarian Community Assembly since 2005 . Rudolf Heiler has been married since 1984 and has two sons.

Life

After completing school in Egmating and Munich and after completing a traineeship at the Ebersberg tax office , Rudolf Heiler began his professional career in the Bavarian Farmers' Association , where he initially worked as an administrative employee in the personnel and management area, and later as managing director.

In 1980 Rudolf Heiler was elected honorary mayor of the Egmating community. At that time he was the youngest mayor of the Federal Republic of Germany. After 16 years of voluntary work in Egmating, Heiler was elected full-time first mayor of the city of Grafing in 1996. From 1981 to 2014 Rudolf Heiler was also a member of the Ebersberg district council. Since 1990 Heiler has also held the office of district chairman of the Ebersberg community council. Since 2002 Heiler has been the chairman of the Upper Bavarian Community Assembly, a local umbrella organization and in this function a member of the Presidium and State Committee of the Community Assembly. Rudolf Heiler represents the Bavarian Community Day in the Broadcasting Council of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation.

From 1983 Heiler was a member of the district executive committee of the CSU Ebersberg. From 1993 to 1999 he was district chairman of the Communal Political Association (KPV) Ebersberg. Furthermore, he has been Deputy Chairman of the Caritas Center Ebersberg since 2001 and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Grafing Senior Citizens' Home since 2005. In December 2008 he resigned from the party.

In 2012, allegations were raised against Heiler that he had not correctly taxed his company car for ten years. The tax liability was initially paid by the city of Grafing in 2008 and only settled by Heiler after the incident became known. The Ebersberg District Office finally determined that Heiler had behaved incorrectly, but neither grossly negligent nor willful. He was " subject to an error of prohibition ".

In the municipal elections in Bavaria in 2014 , Heiler did not run again as a candidate for mayor or for the district council.
