The rugby union national team of St. Lucia represents the Caribbean island state of St. Lucia in rugby union . The team is classified as a third category national team by the International Rugby Board (IRB).
history
After the association was founded in 1996, the national team started playing for the first time in 2005. The first international match was also a qualifier for the 2007 Rugby Union World Cup . St. Lucia won the game 36:25 against the selection of St. Vincent and the Grenadines . In the next round, a group of four, the team was clearly defeated by the other three nations and was eliminated.
