2012: 90 years after the novel was published, SWR and DLF broadcast a 22-hour radio play version of Ulysses .

  • January 18 - From the 18th report of the commission to determine the financial needs of the broadcasters it emerges that ARD and ZDF no longer want to pay feed-in fees to the operators of broadband cable networks from 2013 onwards .   • January 1st - Deutschlandfunk has been in existence for 50 years to the day since January 1st, 1962. A program reform is planned for 2012, with which Deutschlandfunk and Deutschlandradio Kultur are to be developed “complementary to each other”.
  • January 1st - The Saarländischer Rundfunk begins a program reform to implement cost-cutting measures in the SR 2 Kulturradio program.
