Rylkow Foundation

The Rylkow Foundation (Russian: Фонд содействия здоровья и социальной справедливости имени Андрея Рылькова , Andrei-Rylkow Foundation for Health, and in English Andrey-Rylkow, is a non-governmental organization in Moscow , and in English Andrey -Rylkow foundation for health and social justice .

history

The foundation was established in 2009. It was named after Andrei Rylkow, an affected person who had been very active in promoting a dignified life for drug addicts and who died in 2005.

The foundation is particularly committed to substitution programs such as methadone . These are generally prohibited in Russia. It also promotes this in international organizations. In 2016 she supported three victims who sued the European Court of Human Rights in Russia for this possibility.

The foundation carries out extensive activities to educate and prevent HIV infection, but also tuberculosis and hepatitis C among drug addicts. It distributes condoms, sterile syringes, HIV tests and educational material daily, especially in the suburbs of Moscow.

On June 29, 2016, she was registered with the Ministry of Justice as an " Organization in the Function of a Foreign Agent ". It must mention this in all publications, including in educational brochures.
