Acid density

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The acid density indicates the specific weight of an acid (see density ). It is not to be confused with acidity .

description

The acid density is measured, for example, with a hydrometer (also known as an acid siphon ), the unit of measurement is g / cm³.

The term acid density is often used , especially in connection with lead-acid batteries - see also starter battery . The acid density is a measure of the state of charge : the higher the acid density, the fuller the battery.
