SAP List Viewer
SAP List Viewer (ALV - ABAP List Viewer or Advanced List Viewer) is a SAP interface element that can be used to display data from a database table in applications.
With the functions offered as standard, the user can sort, filter and total the displayed table data. Furthermore, fields can be shown or hidden and the field order can be adjusted. The views created in this way can be saved as a layout and reused. The generated lists can be downloaded in Word or Excel formats.
A distinction is made between the following ALV types:
- the simple, two-dimensional table
- the hierarchical-sequential list
- the tree structure
Before the introduction of R / 3 Release 4.6C, the SAP List Viewer was called ABAP List Viewer.
