The SC Sylvia Ebersdorf is a sports club from the Upper Franconian community of Ebersdorf near Coburg . In addition to the formerly successful football department, the club also offers tennis.
The association was founded in 1912. Already in the 1930s he played temporarily in the Upper Franconian district league. In 1956 he was promoted to the 1st amateur league in Northern Bavaria , which was followed immediately by relegation. After the establishment of the Landesliga Nord in 1963, the team narrowly missed promotion to the Bayernliga in second place. The club stayed in the national league until 1970, returned for a year in the 1974/75 season and has played under-class ever since.
