The ASK-PSV Salzburg was created in 2013 through the merger of the two associations Arbeiter Sportklub Salzburg ( ASK Salzburg ) and Police Sports Club Salzburg ( PSV Salzburg ). The merger was decided at a joint general assembly on March 6, 2013 and came into effect at the end of the season on June 10, 2013. The two clubs had already competed in the championship for four years as a syndicate.
This syndicate ASK-Polizei SV Salzburg was created in the 2009/10 season through the merger of ASK Salzburg with PSV Salzburg. After several years in the Salzburg League , the team played in the 1. Landesliga Salzburg in the 2012/13 season, the fifth highest level in Austrian football.
In the fusion season (2012/13) the class could be held in the last game. The first season as a legally independent club, the 2013/14 season, ASK-PSV Salzburg therefore played at the fifth highest level, like the syndicate before that. In the 2014/15 season, ASK-PSV Salzburg was relegated to the 2nd Salzburg Nord regional league.
