Expert Council

The Council of Experts (sometimes abbreviated SVR ) is the term used to describe various bodies that are provided for by law or convened by governments. Recently the term has also been used by private organizations. Expert councils prepare reports and other statements on socially relevant topics, in which recommendations for political decisions are made:

Bodies convened by law or by the government

• Expert council for assessing macroeconomic development
• Expert council to assess developments in the health sector
• Expert council for environmental issues
• Advisory Council on Consumer Issues

Privately founded body

• Expert Council of German Foundations for Integration and Migration
