Samati

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Samati was a city or region in ancient media ( Iran ). It is mentioned several times in Elamite texts. There is little evidence of exactly where Samati was. In Khorramabad a treasure with silver bowls and silver animals was found in a cave. Some of these objects bear Elamite inscriptions and name four kings ( lugal ) of Samati: Ampirian, Unzi-kili, Anni-Schilha and Unsak. The location of the treasure may provide an indication of the location of Samati.
