Collective procedure

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to German law, the collective procedure or collective investigation procedure refers to the process of centralized investigations (investigation procedure (EV)) by a single authority if several criminal offenses are reported against a single person or a single institution.

application

Several factually or technically related investigative procedures are bundled at a public prosecutor's office . Such procedures are appropriate if, for example, people across Germany are affected by fraud and have therefore filed criminal charges . A public prosecutor's office is allowed to bundle and attract all investigative proceedings that have been dispersed until then . This results in a more effective approach against the perpetrators and a more accurate assessment of the damage caused.

Notice

Collective investigations are not to be confused with collective action .
