Sapadbizes
Sapadbizes was a ruler who ruled around the birth of Christ in Bactria (in what is now northern Afghanistan ). He is only known from his not very numerous coins. It is tentatively assigned to the Yuezhi , who from written sources are known to rule in this area. However, this is far from certain. His coins show his portrait in profile on the obverse, while the reverse depicts an animal, perhaps a lion with the inscription Nania. It is perhaps the goddess Nana , who is particularly well documented on coins of the Kushana .
