Satoru Okada ( Japanese 岡田 智 , Okada Satoru ) is a Japanese game developer at Nintendo .

Life

Satoru Okada was employed in Nintendo's development department Nintendo Research & Development 1 ( R & D1 ). The department was headed by Gunpei Yokoi . Together with Yokoi, Okada worked on games such as Metroid ( Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) 1986), Kid Icarus (NES 1986) and Super Mario Land ( Game Boy 1989).
