Sauble Beach is a sandy beach located in Ontario , Canada , on the east side of Lake Huron .

It borders the city of South Bruce Peninsula to the southwest and the Saugeen First Nation to the north . The beach got its name from a French explorer of the Sauble River (French: Rivière aux Saubles). The first resident to settle nearby was John Eldrige, who settled there in 1877. Local attractions include Driftwood Café, Sauble Lodge Motel and other beachfront facilities. The sandy beach stretches for 11 km and the water quality is very high.

Activities such as swimming, street parties, windsurfing, water skiing, fishing, golfing, bowl games, tennis and beach volleyball take place as recreational attractions in summer. In winter, sports activities such as snowmobiling and cross-country skiing are carried out. The Canadian National (Beach) Volleyball Championships are held on the beach and the Sauble Beach Festival of the Classical Guitar Festival has been held since 2007 . The area is often used for student parties in summer. During the hot summer weeks, over 100,000 visitors are often counted on the beach. The average temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius in the months of May to August, but can also reach over 30 degrees Celsius.
