The Saurer BT 4500 is a heavy, rear-wheel drive truck from the Austrian Saurerwerke , which was built from 1941 to 1945 and from 1947 to 1949. The BT 4500 was used by the Wehrmacht , among others ; After the end of the Second World War, the Austrian Post ordered a number of bus-style BT 4500s from Saurer, which were delivered until 1949. The 5930 kg BT 4500 is powered by an in-line six-cylinder diesel Saurer T engine with a displacement of almost eight liters and an output of 120 hp (88 kW).
