Savoir-vivre

The French term savoir-vivre literally means 'to understand, to live'. In French, savoir-vivre is used exclusively in the sense of 'good behavior' or 'good manners'. In German it is used in the sense of " art of living " ( French l'art de vivre ).

The gourmet and travel magazine Savoir-vivre took up this name.
