A switch panel is part of a switch cabinet or switchgear . Several switch panels are usually connected to a switch cabinet via a common busbar. In high-voltage technology, a switchboard is the interconnection of all equipment required to implement a special transmission or distribution task, with several switchboards then forming the switchgear.

The control panels of a control cabinet are divided into different types:

  • Direct feed field
  • Departure field
  • Measuring field
  • Circuit breaker panel
