Shapur ibn Sahl

Shapur ibn Sahl (also Sabur ibn Sahl , lived in the 9th century) was a Persian Christian medic who worked at the Academy of Gundischapur .

He was the author of several medical books. He wrote one of the first medical books on antidotes, also known as Aqrabadhin , in 22 volumes. This book enjoyed great popularity until it was superseded by Ibn al-Tilmidh's book from the first half of the 12th century.
