Pinch cock

Pinch cocks

A pinchcock is a tube clamp with which a hose to regulate is compressed by the flow of gases or liquids. This partially or completely prevents the flow of material. Pinch cocks are available in a spring-loaded version (pinch cock according to Mohr ) and can be opened with two brackets (pinch cock according to Hoffmann ), which compress and clamp the hose in between. For easier handling, the brackets can also be opened to the side, which means that the brackets do not have to be folded out.

Pinch cocks are made of nickel-plated brass and steel and, if required, are offered in a heavy version called a screw cock . The clamping lengths are around 10 mm to 60 mm, the crimp widths up to 60 mm.

In order to fill viscous liquids such as honey, jam or warm chocolate from a large container cleanly and precisely into smaller vessels, there are pinch taps with a discharge pipe. The viscous medium is "squeezed off" by means of a sliding outlet plate after the desired amount has been reached. Nothing more drips and the filling process is ended immediately. Such pinch cocks are available in PVC , nickel-plated brass or in stainless steel .
