Ráckeve Castle

The Ráckeve Castle is located in the same place about 45 kilometers south of the Hungarian capital Budapest . It was built in 1701-02 for Prince Eugene of Savoy . The architect Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt provided the plans . It consists of a main wing with two side wings. A spacious inner courtyard is enclosed together with the auxiliary buildings and the main gate. On the other side of the main wing there is a park with a small lake.

The castle is a listed building. It was renovated from 1980 to 1982 and has been used as a hotel and conference venue ever since.
