Beaking

Schnabeln is a technical term used in the printing and bookbinding industry. When the material of a book cover protrudes upwards, this phenomenon is called beaking. This is triggered when the cover material of the cover or the book cover, e.g. B. a lamination or the cover of a hard cover , comes under tension.
