Protective behavior

Animal behavior that serves to protect against enemies is referred to as protective behavior .

Protective behavior can be passive, such as avoiding enemies or fleeing. The protective behavior can consist of active defense. Passive and active protective behavior can also be shown one after the other.

Many behaviors that are part of protective behavior are innate, others are learned.
