Welding stamp

A welding stamp is a special type of punch used to identify and sign welding work for the purpose of traceability and control. The welding stamp consists of a square shaft, a turned impact head and the text or motif engraved on the front side, which is stamped into the workpiece with a hammer blow.

In practice, engravings with the initials of the company, the welding worker, shift numbers, personnel numbers and consecutive numbering are usually in circles, oval or square borders. But logos and motifs can also be memorized. The engravings are "sharply" engraved so that the stamp can be depicted more easily. Welding stamps are made of high quality tool steel, tempered and tempered.
