The Swiss Association for Conservation and Restoration ( SKR ) is a Swiss professional association.

history

In 1966 the professional association of conservators and restorers was founded. Since then he has been committed to the training of conservators and restorers.

tasks and goals

The Swiss Association for Conservation and Restoration SKR supports all efforts to protect and professionally preserve art and cultural property and represents the interests of its members.

The SKR is based on its professional profile and the code of honor, as well as on the internationally recognized ethical basic papers "Professional Guidelines" from ECCO and international charters and conventions for the preservation of cultural assets.

Professional policy

The Swiss Professional Association for Conservation and Restoration SKR was founded in 1977 and is a constituent member of the European Association of Organizations of Conservators-Restorers ECCO (European Confederation of Conservator-Restorer's Organizations) founded in 1991.

The association is divided into specialist areas, since cultural assets consist of a wide variety of materials, and they are implemented using a wide variety of artistic and creative techniques.
