The Seekopfturm is an 11.2 m high observation tower built in 1993 on the 671 meter high Seekopf near Oberkienstock in the Wachau .

In 1882, the Krems-Rossatz section of the Austrian Alpine Club built an observation tower. After the section was closed, the Austrian Tourist Club took over the tower. Shortly afterwards, a storm caused the tower to collapse. Since the Seekopf offered a beautiful view after logging, a new building was not built.

In the 1990s the idea of a lookout tower matured, which was built by the “Jankerl-Club-Rossatz” under the leadership of Josef Mayer. The inauguration took place in 1993.

The tower, which has existed since 1993, was demolished in 2020 and will be replaced by a new building.
