Semantik (real name Sergej Tratar Baamonde ) is a Swiss rapper from Zurich .

biography

In 2000 the Broken Mental Organization released their EP Operation BM , on which Semantik had his first guest contribution on the song Im Chreis . A year later, the second part of the CH200X series by collective BM appeared , on which Semantik was again represented, there for the first time with Kevlar , with whom he forms the rap formation Defstar . In the same year, Semantik's video with the Tibetan T-Act for the song A dänä Tage was played on Swiss music channels . At that time, semantics made a name for itself mainly with guest contributions on sound carriers by other Swiss rap artists. He also produced the chamber music mixtape himself . During this time, Semantik was also increasingly active as a live act. In 2003 another clip followed with the self-made video for Maxi Sex, Drug and Truth , which ran on N1 Heavy Rotation at Viva. Semantics made a name for itself in the Swiss rapeseed scene above all through this success. In 2004 Semantik released the album Underhund together with his live band Cave Canem . In 2007, Grand Theft Audio I: San Semantik, the first part of his mixtape series, followed. Between the release of the second part in 2008, Semantik's first solo album Willkomme diheime was released. In 2010 Semantik's second album Molotow was released. August 2012 Semantik released his third mixtape Grand Theft Audio III. In 2014 Cave Canem released their second album Alles wird guet , which was followed by a joint tour. In 2018 the solo album entitled Sonnhalde appeared, which entered the Swiss charts at number 22 .
