Shane Rout

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shane Rout is an Australian musician who can be classified into the NSBM scene. He is the founder of the solo project Abyssic Hate and was active in the bands Deströyer 666 and Hecatomb .

He was supposed to continue running the Darker Than Black Records label founded by Hendrik Möbus after he fled abroad. There were also EPs announced for release, which were sold under the dummy label Anchestral Research Records, because it was decided to let the label rest.

ideology

Rout stated in an interview that Absurd is not one of his musical and political influences, but that he has great respect for Möbus and his actions. He also describes that today's NSBM line with the new bands has developed into a "shitty scene" in which more and more young people gave the Hitler salute without having any idea why they were doing this. Rout lives in Europe because he hates the Australian metal scene . He only describes Gospel of the Horns as acceptable.

In 2007, after Möbus was arrested again, Rout founded a campaign for his release, as Rout owed him his musical career. Even if his texts at Abyssic Hate mainly contain topics such as depression , suicide and misanthropy , both his publications and the statements Routs on his homepage show an aesthetic and ideological proximity to neo-Nazism : The Demo Cleansing of an Ancient Race (en. 'Cleansing a old race ') shows on the cover a drawing based on the imperial eagle , in which the swastika has been replaced by a dog foot ; a similar illustration was used as the cover for the 2006 best-of compilation A Decade of Hate.

With The Victory Is Ours he covered a song by the band Absurd (from the album Facta Loquuntur ), which is on the compilation Tribute to Absurd and was released through Silencelike Death Productions. In 2003 he announced on his side that he would cover a song by the forbidden German right-wing rock band Landser on a planned EP .
