Show Me Love is a song by the American singer Robin S. (Robin Stone). It was the first chart success for Robin S. There are also numerous cover versions of Show Me Love , and parts of the song have been used as samples in various songs by other artists.

Background and publication

Show Me Love was written by the American songwriters Allen George and Fred McFarlane. Anthony King made some remixes of this song, these were released on October 13, 1990 in Europe. The record label ZYX Music took over the distribution in Germany . At the suggestion of the record company Champion Records , the Swedish DJ and music producer StoneBridge created a remix of Show Me Love in 1992 , which was also released in Europe and the United States and, unlike the original version, could enter the charts. The baseline typical for the song was created with the Korg M1 synthesizer.

Commercial win

The release of the StoneBridge remix of Show Me Love brought Robin S. the first chart successes. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 on April 3, 1993 and rose to number 5 over the course of the weeks, which was rare for a house song at the time . Show Me Love stayed in the top 10 for a total of ten weeks and in the Hot 100 for 28 weeks . The song reached number 6 in the British singles charts . After being listed in these charts for three weeks in January 1993, it rose on 13. March 1993 again entered the charts and reached the top 10 for four weeks. In March and April 1997 Show Me Love was able to enter the British single charts again for five weeks and again reached the top 10 for one week. Further entries in these charts were made in December 2002 and March 2009, each for two weeks.

On August 30, 1993 Show Me Love entered the German single charts at number 38. In the seventh week of the chart, the song reached its highest position in these charts at number 11 and stayed in the top 20 for eight weeks. Further top 10 placements were achieved in Belgium (Flanders) and Switzerland.
