Sidonius of Passau
Sidonius (* / † unknown) was the third bishop of Passau from approx. 754 to 763/764 .
Sidonius appears in a deed of donation from the Passau Cathedral Foundation. He was a monk from Ireland who distinguished himself as a scientifically superior theologian and probably belonged to the circle around the later Salzburg bishop Virgil .
