Ledges
The word texting can have several meanings:
- In Germany, the grass-like plants of the genus Scirpus are called Simsen , see Simsen (genus)
- In Austria, ledges are the name of the grass-like plants of the genus Juncus , see Juncus
- Simsen has also been the colloquial term for sending SMS messages in German-speaking countries since the 1990s (in the vote for the word of the year 2001, it was ranked 9th).
- Playing the computer game The Sims , The Sims 2 or The Sims 3

- Simsen is dative plural as well as the Southwest German dialect form nominative singular for Sims .
