Sissi (potato)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sissi is a waxy potato variety.

It was newly registered in 2007. It has a medium to high tuber base, but this is not necessarily reflected in the yield. The good qualities make it a variety for direct marketers. It has a low cooking darkening and a low tendency to black spots. As a perennial it forms a red-purple flower, the tubers are long-oval, have a light, smooth shell with flat eyes. The active ingredient metribuzin may only be used in reduced amounts in post-emergence . It is very tolerant of late blight and tuber rot , which is why the spraying distances can be chosen a little further.
