The Skaftafellsjökull is a 10 km long and nearly 2.5 km wide glacier of Vatnajökull in Iceland .
location
It is located in the Vatnajökull National Park , more precisely in the former Skaftafell National Park between the Skaftafellsheiði in the west and the Hafrafell in the east.
Drain
Below the glacier there is a glacial lake of different sizes. The small river Skaftafellsá flows out of it and flows into the Skeiðará .
