Scale rope

A dial cord is a cord , which in older radio devices on one of the tuning variable capacitor or the variometer of the resonant circuit with the pointer of the scale showing the frequency bonds firmly.

The material used is usually plastic, i.e. polyamide, polyester or, more rarely, steel.
