content

The plot is set in a fictional parallel universe around the planet Papathea with its capital Johanna , from which the young and power-hungry Popess Lodovica, who had her sister Agape overthrown many years ago, ruled the galaxy with the help of a huge media and police apparatus and the Believers impressed with staged “ miracles ”. The main character is Noa, a so-called Sky Doll, a life-size, lawless wind-up doll who works at a car wash called Heaven and one day meets the papal missionaries Jahu and Roy, and with whose help God flees from their tyrannical employer. She accompanies the thoughtful, naive Roy and the grim Jahu on their missions and it becomes clear to him as the story progresses that Noa is not an ordinary robot and that there is a connection to the fallen Popess Agape.

The main character Noa stands out due to her naivety and goodwill and tries to be friendly to the fiercest characters. Although she has to accept disappointments again and again on her way, she always draws new hope.
