SoVD youth

The SoVD-Jugend (formerly integ-Jugend) in the Sozialverband Deutschland is a youth association affiliated to the Sozialverband Deutschland (SoVD) , which advocates the inclusion of disabled and materially disadvantaged young people in society. The work also focuses on the integration of different ethnic groups. The registered association was founded in 1971 as INTEG-Jugend in the social association Reichsbund eV.

As the youth department of the SoVD, all members of the SoVD youth up to 27 are automatically also members of the SoVD. 18,000 members of the Social Association Germany are assigned to the youth organization. The SoVD youth elects an honorary federal youth committee every four years. The office of the federal youth committee is located in the Berlin federal office of the SoVD.

The SoVD-Jugend is structured like most associations or parties in regional groups. The local associations are subordinate to the regional associations. These are subordinate to the Federal Youth Board.

Actions

At the center of the association are actions in which young people are brought together. This is done through seminars, youth meetings and political discussions, among other things. With its own youth policy program, SoVD-Jugend campaigns for the interests of its members in local, state and federal politics. The main demands are directed towards an inclusive environment. The SoVD youth u. a. for a quick implementation of the General Equal Opportunities Act and calls for the introduction of a “school for everyone”.
