One day Ben is approached by Linda, who works as a cleaning lady in the sports hall. As a result, he spends a crazy, lively night with her. Ben would like to see Linda again, but as suddenly as she came into his life, she's gone again. Ben goes in search of Linda, meets her again and learns from her that she suffers from a mental illness: Linda has bipolar affective disorder, that is, she is manic-depressive . Reviews

TV Spielfilm stated: "Love alone cannot cure Linda ... an excellently played portrait". The conclusion of the program guide is: "Honestly, insane and insanely honest".

The lexicon of international films acknowledged: “A moving film about love with obstacles, the dramaturgy being determined by the relapses in the course of the disease and a grueling back and forth between attraction and alienation developed through humorous, pointed dialogues and wonderful scenic Resolutions is structured ". The criticism ends with the final sentence: "Nicolette Krebitz gives the emotional rollercoaster ride a credibility that is free of any affected sentimentality".

Also Kino.de was full of praise for the film and said so put director Vivian Naefe "evidence to the effect that can make sad movies happy." It also said: “And Nicolette Krebitz turns out to be an absolute stroke of luck for the film in this role. The oscillation between the manic and depressive phase seems credible, in no way overacted. Without exception, the other roles are also well cast, the dialogues sit well, and Naefe leaves enough space for small bizarre points and humorous notes. "

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv also commented positively on the film and said Vivian Naefe was telling "above all a very special love story" in which the "'bipolar affective disorder' of the heroine" "acts as a catalyst in the phenomena of love" influence. And further: “The psychological foundation is right, the constant change of perspective is dramaturgically clever, and Nicolette Krebitz is stunning!” Regarding the performance of the second main actor Lucas Gregorowicz, Tittelbach said: “It was by no means easy for him to triumph against the cheering and depressed Krebitz alluding to. He doesn't even try. He quietly gives his Ben, a man who in his late 20s has never thought about his life - and who therefore meets the challenge of Linda twice as hard. "
