Society for Animation Studies

The Society for Animation Studies (SAS) is an international, interdisciplinary association of animation historians, theorists and scholars. The SAS was founded in 1987 by Harvey Deneroff . Acting president is Maureen Furniss .

The main activities of the SAS include the organization of an annual scientific conference, the publication of publications for the further development of the field and the exchange of knowledge among members.
