Solatius

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Solatius was bishop of Cologne around 614 .

Life

Solatius was probably ordained bishop of Cologne in 611, but no later than 614 . It is only recorded that he took part in the Synod of Paris in 614 . He and his next but one successor Remedius are the last bearers of Romanic names in the office of the Cologne bishop. In the case of Gelenius , an unproven date of death of Solatius is handed down.
