South Yarrows South is an Orkney-Cromarty (OC) longcairn with "horns" at either end. It is located southwest of the Loch of Yarrows (lake) in Caithness in Scotland .

The approximately 73 m long and 11 to 20 m wide cairn seems to have originally been erected (like Camster ) as a round cairn before it was enlarged to its present shape. The cairn was excavated by Joseph Anderson in 1865 and described by Tress Barry in 1900.

Depression in its surface can mark collapsed chambers. At the wider eastern end of the structure is an accessible chamber that is divided into three parts. A smaller chamber, which could be reached in the middle of the Cairn via a corridor from the south, has been destroyed.

Another Longcairn, the poorly preserved South Yarrows North, is to the north ( 58 ° 22 ′ 27 ″ N, 3 ° 11 ′ 24 ″ W ). There is the Yarrows Archeology Trail, an archaeological path that opens up the two Cairns, a brochure , a basement and other monuments in the region.
