play well
The “spiel gut” seal of approval is awarded by the Children's Games and Toys Association for special toys .
A voluntary committee, independent of the toy industry and toy trade, made up of educators, psychologists, doctors, technicians, design experts, chemical and electronics specialists, environmentalists and parents decides on the award.
Every year around 500 articles are proposed for labeling, around half of which are labeled. The toys are tested in families, kindergartens or similar institutions for the “play good” criteria, and the results are recorded on questionnaires . On the basis of these questionnaires, the “spiel-gut” committee decides on the award of the mark. The marked toys are randomly checked.
There are over 8,000 excellent toys in the online directory.
