history
The then open artificial ice stadium was opened on April 14, 1956. In preparation for the 1973 Summer Universiade , the stadium was roofed over. In 1975 it was decided to use the hall as the venue for the 1980 Olympic handball tournament . As a result, it was renovated and expanded with a five-story functional building.
The main user of the sports facility was the HK Spartak Moscow ice hockey club . The building complex of the Sports Palace now includes a sports area that includes two tennis courts, sports fields for handball and football, a fitness center and gym, two gyms and two dance halls.
