Track security

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The track security and track security of hoofed game is the property of the hunting dog to keep a track or track that has been made. It is an evaluation criterion in the autumn breeding test (HZP) of the hunting dog breeding associations. A sure-track dog cannot be distracted from the recorded trail. If the track is broken, for example by a watercourse, it will reliably find its way back. Tracking security is achieved by encouraging the genetically anchored behavior of the hunting dog to want to stay on the track - known as the will to track - and strengthening it in the training of the hunting dog.
