The Squaw Valley Cable Car is a 2.3-kilometer aerial cable car in Squaw Valley , California , USA . The Squaw Valley Cable Car was inaugurated in 1968. On April 15, 1978, a serious accident occurred in which four people were killed and 22 people were injured after one of the suspension cables fell and the car roof broke through.
