Support body
A support body is generally a component that has a load-bearing or shaping effect. Among other things, there are support bodies in these areas:
- Support body (hydraulic engineering) , part of a dam for introducing the forces acting on it
- Support body (embankment) , soil improvement of embankments at risk of slipping by injecting or adding cement at certain spatial distances (supporting body method for securing slopes)
